Welcome!

If you've come to this page, know this:

1. This blog is part of a class assignment to maintain and post a blog discussing how the internet has impacted the law. Not only how the law has been created to deal with situations special to the internet, but also how access to the information available on the internet has changed the way law is practiced or in any way altered.

2. I am a Communications and Legal Studies major at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. The last couple years of my studies have been dedicated to studying emerging telecommunications technologies, the growth and change within the telecomm. industry, the effects of the internet on community identity and global commerce ... but also how limited access to the internet has intensified social, political and economic disparities. My legal studies have focused on racial, gender and class inequality and misrepresentation of the legal system and "others" in the media.

3. Please feel free to post anything on this blog, actually. I would be willing to talk about anything. I guess the only restraints are according to what Google has put forth in its terms of service, otherwise simply maintain an intellectual disposition when posting.
